tukey tail fungus found on a walk. Trametes versicolor or Coriolus versicolor and Polyporus versicolor. versicolor meaning ‘of many colours’. personally i dont remember the lain names for fungus mainly because i dont know the pronunciation and my memory has problems remembering words it hasnt heard phonetically. it also helps if the name is self explanatory so i should be able to retain versicolor now i know the meaning of the word.
turkey tail is one of my favorite fungi because of its amazing colors. these guys i think were actually dead as they were rock hard but the trunk was lying in water so i think thats how they have retained most of their vibrancy.

Gets too excited talking about villains and flops over like a small hyper animal
Okay two episodes into Hannibal and my (spoiler-free) opinions are:
- I think it oughta continue because it’s nice!! Weirdly pretty, interesting color and cinematography choices, the pacing is sort of awful but hey. I am only two episodes in after all
- Will Graham is the best oh god what a cute. Sad. Complex dude. I’d take him to Ihop
- Hannibal’s sorta…alriiight so far but the focus isn’t on him anyway so that’s alright. I mean he’s GOOD and it’s better if I see it as a separate interpretation from others but the EYE THING IS THE STUPIDEST REASON FOR ME TO JUDGE HIM DONT LISTEN TO ME MOVING ON
- Supporting cast is diverse and interesting and the people who are supposed to annoy the shit out of me annoy the shit out of me and it’s easy to see who they want me to like and why. but it’s not hamfisted. I appreciate that
Overall: Good characterization, it’s pretty, it’s engaging and keeps me keyed up, I empathize really hard with Will and I like that. Pacing is weird and I’d like it to feel a little…smarter if that makes sense. But it’s fun to watch I am looking forward to seeing more wooooo
Basically when I want to draw a monster I sit down and think about things I would cry about and draw them and if I feel like tears could happen over it then i keep it
